Customization

All M3 guitars start with a standard set of features and materials, but you can change any materials, hardware, or design. (Within some limitations.)

Standard on all our guitars is:

• Woods such as maple and mahogany for neck and body; rosewood or similar for fingerboards
• Hand polished lacquer or painted finish
• Quality hardware, such as Schaller or Wilkinson bridges; Seymour-Duncan pickups, and Grover tuners
• Your choice of scale length, neck profile, string spread, body shape and size, etc

You can specify things like:

• Scale length and string spread (within design limitations)
• Neck profile and thickness
• Pickup configuration and models
• Body type (solid or hollow); size and shape. A lot of freedom here.
• Materials, such as hardware, woods, color, and finish

Premium Features

You can also specify premium options.

Premium features include:

• Custom pearl inlay or wood carving
• Specialized or exotic woods
• Premium hardware, such as gold-plated pickups, etc
• Specialized or unusual wiring

Pricing

Special requests such as custom pearl inlay, highly unusual bodies, etc, will be priced in addition.

One last thing – please don't ask for an exact duplicate of a current or vintage factory model. Besides the copyright and trademark issues involved, it usually doesn't make sense. It's like buying all the separate parts of a particular type of car, then asking a mechanic to build you one just exactly like a car on the dealer's lot.

We hand-pick the lumber and build the guitar with traditional, hand-crafted techniques. Then the electric configuration you want is installed with quality hardware. You can't go wrong.

Even though every musician is unique, the sad fact is that most mass produced electric guitars fall into one of a few types. Try walking into a music store and asking for a custom shaped neck profile, or a change in the body shape. Did you want to have the volume knobs in a slightly different location? Good luck.
